About

I was never good at the introduction part of group events but I suppose it might be a little important for a blog. First and foremost, My name is Rebekah and I’m 24. I’ve been secretly writing my whole life but I’ve just now started to get more serious about it. You can expect to find personal narratives and poetry as well as my attempts at being funny as a coping mechanism.

I started this at the beginning of 2016 after realizing I was in the midst of one of the worst depressive episodes of my life. That is when I came up with the idea of the title Who I Was. I told myself that if I could remember who I was before this then I can certainly find my way out. I am hoping this blog can inspire me to become who I’ve always dreamed of and would love if I could help others along the way.

This year we are experimenting with posting three times a week. You can find the breakdown of that schedule in my new year, new schedule post.

As always, I invite you to leave any feedback you may have on my posts and I promise I won’t even be angry. Life is all about learning, and so is this blog.

Be sure to follow my blog if you want to support what I’m doing here.

I’ll catch ya on the flip side,
Rebekah

  2. Hi Rebekah!

You wrote, “I’ve been secretly writing my whole life…”. And I can see from the quality of your prose that the practice has paid off! Good blog!

I love this! I relate so well- I’ve been secretly writing my whole life as a sort of therapeutic thing. I created my blog some time last year when I was at the peak of a depressive period in my life. I also love to write narratives and poetry. 🙂
